Diagnostic Services- My mechanic can't work it out, can you tell us what's wrong so he can fix it?
With over 35 years specialising in steering, suspension and brakes we quite often see the same issues being incorrectly diagnosed. Rather than continually throwing parts at the vehicle which in turn drains your pocket, we prefer to check the problem and complete the repair in our workshop. If you have a problem with your 4x4 suspension drop in and see us, we only bite on Fridays:)
I have bought new suspension online, can you fit it for me?
Be extremely careful buying 4x4 suspension on line and expecting your local Mechanic to install it, reputable mechanics like to know the quality of the product they are installing and prefer to use their own reputable suppliers. We will only install products we source, this avoids any liability or finger pointing when something goes wrong. GVM upgrades should only be installed by a qualified GVM Suspension Installer, We are Tough Dog Authorised GVM Upgrade Installers.
Do you do wheel alignments on caravans?
No we don't sorry.
After you install my new suspension do I need to do anything else?
When installing new suspension in our workshop we complete the job from start to finish, this includes fully re-aligning the vehicle before you collect it. The only thing you need to do is enjoy it for many years!
Do you allow credit?
We don't allow credit, we have eptpos facilities available or accept cash payments.
Do you sell tyres?
No we don't sell tyres.
I have had a lift kit installed and want you to check it's been installed correctly.
We have offended a few people when answering this question.
The long and short of it is No, we don't check the work or complete wheel alignments when a suspension lift or upgrade is installed somewhere else.
Why? This automatically puts the liability back on us. Unless we removed the new suspension and installed it ourselves we have no way of knowing if everything has been tensioned and installed correctly. If we did check your vehicle and found something wrong it becomes a "He said, she said" saga. We are not interested in venturing down this path.
If you don't have faith in your mechanic to the point of needing his work checked, we highly recommend you find yourself a new mechanic.
Where are you guys located?
We are now located at 57 Cureton Avenue East , unfortunately a very smart town planner popped an "East" on the end of Cureton Avenue and thought "That"ll do mate", and google decided rather than put "East" they would just put "E", how confusing !
So.... if searching for us on google you will need to search 57 Cureton Avenue E , if you arrive at a private house opposite the Marina you are at 57 Cureton Avenue instead.
